PVC Layflat Hose is a flexible water discharge hose designed for irrigation, pump transfer, construction drainage, mining service, and general water delivery. It combines a PVC tube and cover with high-tensile polyester reinforcement to provide a practical balance of light weight, rollability, and pressure performance. Compared with rigid pipe or bulkier hose constructions, layflat hose simplifies transport, storage, field deployment, and seasonal replacement.
Suitable for water discharge, irrigation, pump service, dewatering, and backwash applications
PVC tube and cover with high-tensile polyester braiding
Available for light duty and standard duty requirements
Lightweight and easy to coil, move, store, and install
Good flexibility for temporary line setup and field use
Assemblies and cut lengths available
Multiple colors available, including blue, orange, and red
Burst pressure rated at 3 times working pressure
PVC Layflat Hose, also referred to as water discharge hose, delivery hose, pump hose, or lay flat irrigation hose, is engineered for the transfer of water, light chemicals, and similar non-aggressive fluids in mobile or temporary piping systems. It is commonly used where rigid pipe is less practical and where a hose must be deployed quickly, moved frequently, or stored compactly after use. This makes it a practical solution for irrigation lines, pump outlet service, construction site water handling, mine dewatering, flood control, pool and spa drainage, and marine utility applications.
The hose structure uses PVC for both the tube and cover, reinforced with high-tensile polyester braiding. This construction helps the hose maintain flexibility while supporting pressure performance suitable for day-to-day discharge service. In real operating conditions, the main value of PVC layflat hose is not only fluid transfer capability, but also handling efficiency. It can be rolled flat after use, occupies less storage volume than many conventional hose types, and is easier to move over long lengths in agricultural or site-based applications.
For users managing seasonal irrigation, mobile pumping, emergency drainage, or temporary transfer lines, PVC Layflat Hose reduces handling time and simplifies replacement planning. Its design is especially useful where fast deployment, low transport weight, and repeatable field use are more important than vacuum resistance or permanent buried installation.
Lightweight construction reduces labor during movement, deployment, retrieval, and storage
Flat-roll design saves storage volume and improves transport efficiency compared with rigid piping
Polyester-reinforced structure supports practical working pressure for water transfer and discharge service
Corrosion and aging resistance helps maintain usability in wet outdoor environments
Good flexibility allows easier handling across irregular ground conditions and temporary line routes
Easy connection options support hose clamps, crimped ends, and common shank-style couplings
Suitable for seasonal, temporary, and mobile fluid transfer systems
Easier to store between jobs, harvest cycles, or maintenance intervals
Helps reduce installation time in irrigation, dewatering, and pump discharge service
Available in cut lengths and assemblies for more direct field integration
Non-toxic and low-odor hose body
Burst pressure is 3 times working pressure
Available in multiple colors for product identification or application differentiation
This product is especially useful where the main requirement is efficient water movement with low handling burden rather than complex high-pressure industrial transfer.
Layer | Material / Structure | Practical Role |
|---|---|---|
Tube | PVC | Carries water and light fluids with good flexibility |
Reinforcement | High tensile polyester braiding | Supports pressure performance and dimensional stability |
Cover | PVC | Protects the hose body from external wear, weather exposure, and handling stress |
The PVC tube and cover help keep the hose lightweight and flexible.
The polyester reinforcement improves pressure retention during discharge service.
This construction is widely used for layflat water hoses because it supports coiling, transport, and repeated field deployment.
Compared with more rigid or heavy hose constructions, PVC layflat hose offers better portability for long-length temporary fluid transfer.
This structure is consistent with common market practice for lay flat discharge hoses used in irrigation, backwash, and pump outlet service.
